Position Summary

The Financial Analyst I (FP&A) is an entry-level position within the Treasury & Finance department. This role is primarily focused on supporting financial forecasting, analyzing portfolio performance metrics, maintaining financial models, and delivering actionable data insights.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter with strong quantitative skills, a passion for data analysis, and a desire to learn financial modeling and forecasting in a fast-paced corporate environment. Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation, maintenance, and validation of corporate financial and forecasting models in Excel. Support variance analyses to understand how operational shifts impact financial outlooks.
• Portfolio & Payment Performance: Support the team in tracking and analyzing credit card portfolio trends, including customer boarding mix, managed purchases, and payment behaviors.
• Reporting & KPIs: Play a key role in compiling, auditing, and distributing weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial KPI packages and performance dashboards.
• Data Management: Utilize database tools to extract, clean, and manipulate large financial datasets for analysis.
• Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct exploratory data analysis to support ad-hoc requests, focusing on identifying trends, investigating variance anomalies, and explaining drivers.
• Presentation Support: Assist in drafting clear, visually engaging presentation decks and commentary for senior management and executive reviews.

Position Requirements

• Strong foundational Excel skills with an eagerness to learn complex financial modeling.
• Exposure to or basic academic knowledge of database querying or data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with basic financial, accounting, and statistical concepts.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
• Strong analytical curiosity—not just running the numbers, but wanting to understand what drives them.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize findings clearly.
• Collaborative mindset with a comfortable attitude toward working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Financial services experience preferred but not required.
