Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and business-minded Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to help build and enhance the organization’s financial planning and analysis capabilities. This role will partner closely with finance leadership and operational stakeholders to support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and business performance analysis.

The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, a passion for understanding business operations beyond the financial statements, and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights. This individual will thrive in a collaborative environment, build strong cross-functional relationships, identify opportunities for process improvement, and contribute to sound business decision-making.

This position offers significant opportunity for professional growth and increasing responsibility over time. The successful candidate will initially focus on gaining a comprehensive understanding of financial systems, processes, and reporting structures while supporting strategic initiatives and the continued development of the FP&A function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.

  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, including variance analysis, key performance metrics, and executive-level summaries.

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives, business planning, and operational decision-making.

  • Analyze revenue, operating expenses, labor costs, capital investments, and performance indicators to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

  • Partner with department leaders to develop budgets, improve financial performance, and support informed business decisions.

  • Assist with capital expenditure planning, business case development, and return-on-investment analysis.

  • Collaborate with accounting teams during month-end close processes to improve reporting accuracy and forecast reliability.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial reporting, automation, processes, and data quality through continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Present financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to leadership teams.

  • Support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • Seven to ten years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, financial analysis, or related finance leadership roles.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.

  • Experience utilizing ERP systems and financial reporting tools.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, collaborate across departments, and influence decision-making.

  • Strong ownership mentality with the ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain a positive, team-oriented approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA and/or CPA designation.

  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI.

  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.

  • Experience in a complex, multi-departmental organization.

Core Competencies

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect financial results to operational performance.

  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

  • Collaborative leadership style with a focus on teamwork and partnership.

  • Strong integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Initiative-driven mindset with a focus on process improvement.

  • Ability and desire to grow into broader finance leadership responsibilities over time.
