UAA Facilities & Campus Services (FCS) Business Office is seeking to hire a fiscal manager to join our team. The FCS Business Office supports all FCS departments including Planning & Construction, Maintenance & Operations, General Support Services, and Environmental Health Safety & Risk Management. The primary focus of this position is supporting the Planning & Construction department working daily with diverse staff including project managers, contracting officer, the Business Office team, and staff from other departments across the campus.
The successful candidate must have fiscal and analytical skills, ability to interpret and apply complex financial policies, and experience managing department or project budgets. The successful candidate for this position must also demonstrate the following core values: trustworthiness, dependability, cooperation, thoroughness, initiative, tolerance, and wisdom.
To thrive in this position a candidate should have the ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and communicate clearly while supporting a collaborative team. A candidate who demonstrates confidence in working with multiple funding sources, including grants, foundation, and appropriations will make an immediate impact in this role. Proficiency in accounting principles, financial systems, spreadsheets, and data analysis is essential, along with a commitment to data integrity, confidentiality, and continuous process improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, statistics or related field and 3 years progressively responsible professional fiscal experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Professional licensure preferred (e.g. CPA, CFM).
Position Details:
This position is located on the UAA campus in Anchorage. This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 80, based on education and experience.
