We are seeking an FPGA Engineer to support the development of safety-critical instrumentation and control systems for next-generation energy technology. This role will design and validate FPGA architectures used to monitor and control complex hardware systems in highly regulated environments.

You will collaborate with electrical, embedded software, and systems engineers to ensure reliable performance in mission-critical applications.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop FPGA systems for instrumentation and control platforms
  • Implement FPGA logic using VHDL or Verilog
  • Integrate sensor and actuator interfaces into hardware control systems
  • Perform simulation, validation, and hardware testing
  • Collaborate with embedded software and hardware teams on system architecture
  • Support development of safety-critical and fault-tolerant systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with FPGA design (VHDL or Verilog)
  • Experience with embedded hardware systems
  • Strong debugging and hardware validation skills
  • Familiarity with safety-critical systems is a plus

Preferred Experience

  • High-reliability systems (nuclear, aerospace, defense, robotics, or energy)
  • Signal processing or real-time control systems
  • Hardware-in-the-loop testing

Compensation

$140,000 – $200,000 depending on experience.
