Framing Carpenter

We are seeking a reliable Framing Carpenter with 1–3 years of experience to join our active construction team. You will transition from basic labor to layout, assembly, and erection of structural skeletons. You must work efficiently under the guidance of a foreman while accurately executing blueprints with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Blueprint Interpretation: Review architectural drawings to verify correct dimensions and material layouts.
• Material Preparation: Measure, mark, and cut wood or metal studs precisely to minimize waste.
• Structural Assembly: Construct and erect subfloors, wall partitions, headers, and roof trusses.
• Alignment Verification: Utilize plumb bobs, laser levels, and framing squares to ensure total structural accuracy.
• Openings & Details: Frame precise openings for windows, doors, HVAC vents, and electrical routing.
• Sheathing & Reinforcement: Apply exterior sheathing, structural bracing, and blocking according to code.
• Site Collaboration: Maintain a clean workspace, organize lumber inventory, and assist apprentice crew members

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 1 to 3 years of proven rough framing or carpentry experience.
• Tool Proficiency: Mastery of speed squares, framing nail guns, circular saws, and miter saws.
• Math Literacy: Fast, accurate fraction calculations for structural measurements on site.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand for long outdoor shifts.
• Safety Mindset: Strict adherence to OSHA guidelines, personal protective equipment (PPE), and fall protection.
