Free People Brand Marketing Intern Social Media

Role Summary

Free People is looking for a Social Media Intern to join us for the summer. This intern would focus on the Free People Collection social media team and support the growth of our accounts across all major social platforms. This person would assist with creator selection, content creation, account management, and growth strategies.

• Apply to one (1) internship posting that best aligns with your interests and skills. If there is a project component included in the application (see role qualifications below), it is required and must be submitted at the time of application to be considered for the position.

• Complete a Video Interview: Candidates selected to move forward will receive an email with a link to complete a video interview. Once the email is received, candidates will have two (2) days to complete this portion of the application.

• Interviews with our internal teams will be scheduled on a rolling basis

Role Responsibilities

• Learn the day-to-day posting and account management process across all major social platforms
• Assist the team with content creation for TikTok and Instagram Reels to support all product categories
• Help with creator sourcing for UGC content
• Participate in creating content for Free People social channels
• Assist with growing engagement and followers across all social channels

Role Qualifications

Marketing, Communications or Business Major or background preferred. Experience with social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest) a must.

Project Requirement:

In addition to your application and resume, to be considered for this role you must submit a Concept Board (8.5 X 11 PDF format is preferred). This is due at the time of your application submission. Once you complete your project, please upload it to additional documents section in the application process.

• Create a marketing campaign concept board focused on a Fall 2027 Social Media Campaign that you feel would align with the Free People customer. Please feature tears of images (still life styling, editorial, artistic, branding, etc.) that you find aspirational for the brand's creative direction and could be used as a potential collective campaign idea across email, digital and social platforms. Please suggest influencers, experiential events, and activations to include in your campaign concept.
• You may use visuals from blogs, Instagram, magazines, etc. to show your point of view but be sure to think like a marketer when pulling your aspirational tears and compiling the concept board.
• Be sure to include 2-3 influencers you could see as partners with this Fall 2027 campaign and why you think they would be great fits with our brand.
