Free People Sample and Showroom Coordinator

Role Summary:

Free People is looking for a Sample and Showroom Coordinator (LA) role plays a key operational role in supporting market preparation, sample logistics, and showroom operations in LA, alongside office management support in Santa Monica. This position demands dynamic multi-tasking, excellent organization, and proactive cross-functional collaboration to maintain brand standards, organize key events, and ensure seamless daily showroom and office functions.

Role Responsibilities:

• Partnering with Sales Team to support and prep for all market and management meetings in the LASR
• Assisting showroom manager in all showroom related duties and upkeep
• Receiving, processing and maintaining organized sample sets
• Maintaining LA Showroom presentation and standards in partnership with the visual team
• On-site showroom management in LA and Office Management in Santa Monica
• Management and organization of LASR events; ie. Tradeshow markets, market appointments, corporate executive visits, etc.

Role Qualifications:

• Must have strong communication, management, and delegation skills.
• Must display an ability to multi-task and handle shifts in priority and focus.
• Demonstrate professionalism and a willingness to collaborate and help where needed.
• Manage all inbound and outbound shipment distribution from the LASR showroom.
• Receive, tag, and assort inbound samples.
• Manage and maintain stock supplies related to samples
• Distribute samples to Sales team in the field in time for appointments & markets.
• Provide reporting to upper management on LASR inventory and showroom readiness regularly.
• Ensure all deliveries in the showroom are appointment ready: tagged & labeled, factory tags removed, on hangers, steamed and in line sheet order.
• Coordinate and maintain overall showroom presentation with Visual team. Manage and assist with lighting/HVAC/sound system/fixtures/furniture presentation as needed. 
• Support Market, Showroom Appointment and Road Appointment preparation, both leading up to, during and after key appointments. Coordinate Sales assortment needs prior to appointments, confirm and negotiate any scheduling conflicts with Sales Directors, ensure the lines are appointment ready for Sales, provide all support during Market at Sales’ request, and reset all deliveries, product & showroom afterwards.
• Always be willing to assist in other areas of the business with a hands-on approach when necessary.

 

Santa Monica Office, in addition to the above where applicable plus ad-hoc as it comes up as this is a new role:

• Act as liaison to building facilities.
• Partner with direct supervisor on all contact with building management to problem solve, report issues, submit requests, etc.
