Free Standing ED RN

A 288-bed acute-care hospital in Tallahassee, FL is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Free Standing Emergency Department. The facility provides 24/7 emergency services and includes a Chest Pain Center with PCI-Resuscitation, a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a Stroke Center, and a Behavioral Health Center, among other specialty services.

The role. In this position, you will triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages presenting with conditions ranging from minor injuries to acutely or critically ill states. You will develop individualized care plans that identify expected outcomes and prescribe strategies and alternatives to attain those outcomes, while continuously prioritizing the needs of multiple cases simultaneously. Patient education is a core part of this role — you will provide follow-up care instructions and make necessary referrals at the time of discharge. You will work in close coordination with physicians and other departments, maintaining a constant focus on patient safety throughout every shift.

What we're looking for.

• 1 year of Recent Acute Care ER RN experience Required * Would accept Critical Care Experience
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida, multistate or able to obtain licensure prior to start is required
• Associate Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
• BLS must be obtained prior to employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt, or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

Schedule. Position is available on days, nights, or mids, all with rotating weekends.

Compensation. $29.92 - $44.88/hr plus Sign On: NO SIGN ON Relocation: Case by Case
