Piedmont Global <\/b>is looking for freelance Haitian -Creole Interpreters to provide on -site (OSI) and remote (VRI -OPI) language interpretation services in Spokane, WA. <\/b>
<\/span><\/span><\/div>

<\/div>
These are “1099” (Independent Contractor) positions.<\/span><\/span>
<\/div>

<\/div>
Interpreter Functions:
<\/div>
Serve as an Interpreter between a wide range of people with diverse voices, accents, speaking tempos and personalities.<\/span>
<\/span><\/li>
Provide parties with clear interpretations of verbal communication with no additions or omissions.
<\/span><\/li>
Provide interpretations of questions, answers, statements, arguments, explanations, and other forms of verbal communication.
<\/span><\/li>
Impart thought, purpose, spirit, emotions, and tone of speaker from source language into target language, and vice -versa.
<\/span><\/li>
Inform relevant parties of any factor that may hinder your performance.
<\/span><\/li>
Comply with applicable ethics and standards.
<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

Requirements<\/h3>
Fluent in speaking/listening, reading/writing in both English and Haitian -Creole<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>
Hold a valid driver’s license, or any government -issued valid form of identification.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>
Ability to commute to assigned location.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>
Preferably based in the above -mentioned area.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>
Access to a mobile phone.<\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li>
Certified Interpreter preferred, but not required.<\/span><\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>

Minimum Qualifications:<\/b>
<\/div>
• Interpreting experience, paid or as a volunteer
<\/span><\/div>
• Two (2) relevant professional references that can vouch for the candidate’s work as an interpreter OR one (1) relevant professional reference and one (1) relevant professional letter of recommendation
<\/span><\/div>
• <\/span>Proficiency in English and target language.<\/span>
<\/div>

If available, interpreters should provide proof of:<\/b>

• Certifications
