Position Overview: As a Freight Billing & Audit Analyst (Demurrage Analyst), you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of freight-related billing and payment processes within our transportation operations. You will review and process demurrage claims daily, validate data through GPS and reporting systems, and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve disputes and drive process improvements. This role is well-suited for a detail-oriented analytical thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about data accuracy and operational efficiency.
Location: Dartmouth, NS
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 4:30pm
Core Job Functions:
- Review demurrage requests daily and process for payment and/or billing based on current employee and customer contracts.
- Review GPS data to validate billing and pay requests as required.
- Collaborate with operations teams to improve the quality of demurrage requests.
- Identify patterns and trends of demurrage submission that seems out of place - escalate as needed to leadership team.
- Collaborate with IT to improve the quality & accuracy of demurrage reporting & processing.
- Work with Accounts Receivable, Driver Care and Revenue & Settlements in settling disputed amounts for customers & drivers.
- Perform demurrage audits as requested.
- Other duties as required
