Freight Coordinator

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Freight Coordinator to join our team in Medina, OH. This is a full-time, on-site position perfect for someone with a strong background in transportation and logistics eager to support and improve shipping operations.

Hours:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Pay:
$18.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, implement, and manage transportation strategies, policies, and procedures
  • Manage daily transportation operations including route planning, carrier selection, and freight consolidation
  • Ensure shipments are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Monitor shipment progress and communicate any delays or issues to internal teams and customers
  • Analyze transportation data and performance metrics to identify improvements and cost savings
  • Work closely with sales, purchasing, and production teams for seamless logistics coordination
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and logistics providers

Minimum Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in transportation and logistics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management software
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS)
  • Knowledge of shipping regulations and compliance
  • Prior experience in warehouse or shipping environments

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional education in logistics preferred)
  • 3+ years of logistics or transportation experience

Other Requirements:
  • Must complete drug screening per client requirements
  • This position is on-site at our Medina, OH location
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
