Freight Handler (2nd Shift)

Must be able to foster BEL USA's mission and core values to help drive the organization towards a more constructive culture and higher performance. In addition, the Freight Handler safely receives, stages, packs, and loads freight and parcel shipments, including Amazon and UPS orders, while supporting production and inventory needs to ensure orders ship accurately and on time.

Essential Job Functions:(The reason this job exists is to perform these functions.  These functions are performed regularly, seriously impacts other jobs, and there are a limited number of employees whom performance of the function can be distributed).

Production Support

• Pull and stage stock for production and sample orders based on work orders, confirming correct items and quantities.
• Keep a steady flow of materials from the warehouse to the production floor so jobs stay on schedule.
• Transferred completed orders from the production area to the shipping department to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.

Shipping & Receiving

• Load and unload trucks, pallets, and racks safely.
• Verify inbound freight against purchase orders and report damages, shortages, or overages.
• Pack, palletize, and label outbound shipments, including Amazon and UPS shipments, non-imprint orders, samples, and trade show materials.
• Prepare bills of lading and packing lists and stage freight for scheduled UPS and carrier pickups.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.

Safety & Housekeeping

• Follow company safety policies and wear required PPE.
• Keep the warehouse, aisles, and dock clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.

Internal Application Eligibility Requirements:

• Employees must be in their current position for at least six (6) months before being eligible to apply to an open position.
• If an employee applied and received their current position, they must stay in that position for at least one (1) calendar year before being eligible to apply to another position.
• Employees must not have received disciplinary action or have been placed on a performance improvement plan in the six (6) months prior to the date of the application.
• Employee must meet the minimum qualifications, as determined by BEL USA, for the position to be considered.
