About the Role:
Join America's #1 Industrial Transportation Broker, PERFECT FREIGHT SOURCE LLC as a Freight Manager and take charge of our logistics operations in Houston, TX. This exciting opportunity allows you to lead a dynamic team, optimize freight solutions, and drive efficiency in our supply chain processes.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily freight operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Manage relationships with carriers, suppliers, and clients to enhance service quality.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor freight expenses and negotiate contracts to optimize costs.
- Broker freight and bid on current and potential business.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Train and mentor logistics staff to foster a high-performance culture.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in freight management or logistics operations.
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and industry best practices.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- The idea candidate must reside in the Houston Area and must be willing to commute to office everyday.
