Position Overview:
The company is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Freight Sales professional with expertise in both international and domestic freight services. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of global supply chain logistics and the ability to provide tailored freight solutions to meet the needs of a diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in both international and domestic freight sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, freight brokers, and logistics partners.
- Customize freight forwarding and transportation solutions including air, ocean, and ground shipments based on client needs.
- Manage the entire sales process from prospecting and qualifying leads to closing deals and post-sale support.
- Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends, trade regulations, and competitor activity to advise clients effectively.
- Utilize CRM systems to maintain accurate sales records and generate reports.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in freight sales, including international and domestic freight forwarding or logistics.
- Strong knowledge of transportation modes, trade compliance, Incoterms, and freight documentation.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Existing client portfolio or book of business in freight forwarding or trucking sectors.
- Multilingual abilities to serve diverse international clients.
- Experience with specific industries such as manufacturing, automotive, retail, or pharmaceuticals.
