French Teacher – Middle School (Long-Term Substitute)

Location: Kansas City, MO
Pay: $200 per day
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:50 AM–3:50 PM
Assignment Dates: November 16, 2026 – January 4, 2027

Position Overview

Sub Teacher Source is seeking an experienced French Teacher for a long-term substitute assignment at an independent middle school in Kansas City, Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Teach middle school French across multiple proficiency levels, from novice to advanced.
• Develop engaging lessons and assessments that support language acquisition.
• Create a positive classroom environment that promotes student learning.
• Collaborate with department staff and incorporate educational technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Missouri Teaching License
• Native or near-native fluency in French.
• Experience teaching multiple levels of French.
• Three or more years of French teaching experience preferred.
• Familiarity with ACTFL standards and proficiencies preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom-management skills.
• Must reside in the state of Missouri
