Freshman Internship - Summer 2027

Program Calendar: 8:00am 4:00pm, Every Wednesday, May - August

Internship Prerequisites:

• Internship candidates must have successfully completed their freshman year of university/college studies and are returning to school for their sophomore year to qualify for this internship.
• Possess and provide self-transportation to/from Gateway office and required local project sites.
• Demonstrate the desire to grow personally and professionally.

Gateway Internships

Internships at Gateway are designed to provide the intern with practical industry training and real-project exposure through experiential learning. Freshman level Interns spend their time primarily in developmental training sessions, and supplement training with participation on real project teams to gain a contextual understanding of Gateways practice areas and how they are integrated to develop and deliver solutions to our clients.

Responsibilities

Developmental Training:

• Environmental Health & Safety training with tiered certification
• Design Technology training
• Site Design training
• Plan/Spec Overview
• Client project site visits

The ideal intern candidate will have the following qualifications:
