Velkommen Inn in Clifton, TX is looking for a friendly, dependable, and professional Front Desk Agent to join our team full-time. If you enjoy working with people, staying organized, and creating a welcoming guest experience, this could be a great fit for you.
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, helping create a positive and lasting impression from check-in to check-out. We are looking for someone with a warm personality, strong communication skills, and a customer-focused attitude who can stay calm and positive in a fast-paced environment.


Job Summary
As a Front Desk Agent, you will greet and assist guests, manage check-ins and check-outs, answer phones, handle reservations, process payments, and maintain an organized and welcoming front desk area. You will also communicate with housekeeping and maintenance to support smooth daily hotel operations and may be assigned small daily tasks as needed.
Your goal is to provide every guest with exceptional customer service and ensure they have a comfortable, pleasant stay.


Key Responsibilities
  • Greet guests with a warm, positive, and professional attitude
  • Complete guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and in-person guest inquiries
  • Take, update, and cancel reservations as needed
  • Process payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate records
  • Issue room keys and explain room features, hotel amenities, and local attractions
  • Build rapport with guests and identify their needs through friendly conversation
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk, lobby, and common areas
  • Communicate with housekeeping and maintenance to coordinate room availability and daily operations
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and resolve issues with a customer-focused approach
  • Ensure compliance with hotel health, safety, and quality standards
  • Complete paperwork and assigned tasks promptly and accurately
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; some college is a plus
  • Customer service or hospitality experience preferred
  • Friendly, outgoing, and professional personality
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer literacy required
  • Experience with hotel software such as Opera, Fidelio, or similar is a plus
  • Proficient in English; additional languages are a plus
  • Reliable transportation and punctual attendance required
  • Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25–30 pounds
