POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our hotel team. This position provides coverage on an as-needed basis for all shifts, including mornings, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays. The ideal candidate is flexible, reliable, and committed to delivering exceptional guest service while supporting the front desk team during busy periods and employee absences. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Check guests in and out efficiently and accurately.
- Answer phones, respond to guest inquiries, and resolve concerns promptly.
- Process reservations, cancellations, and room changes.
- Handle guest payments and maintain accurate records.
- Fill in for scheduled time off, vacations, sick leave, and other staffing needs.
- Assist the front desk team during high-occupancy periods and busy days.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area.
- Follow company and hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- To provide BIG Service to guests and ensure their complete satisfaction, inclusive of greeting and interacting with guests in a friendly and enthusiastic manner, anticipating and meeting guest needs and preferences, remaining calm and professional when dealing with guests that are difficult or upset.
- The ability to develop and maintain professional, trusting, and positive working relationships with managers, supervisors, staff, coworkers, guests, and vendors.
- The ability and willingness to ensure that work activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
- The ability to work safely. This includes clearly understanding and following company safety policies and procedures, completing work in a safe manner, caring about safety of self and others, responding appropriately in an emergency, and reporting unsafe conditions.
- Maintain regular attendance at scheduled shift and staff meetings
- Maintain professionalism and a friendly and approachable demeanor throughout the shift.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Previous hotel front desk or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong computer and multitasking abilities.
- Dependable, professional, and able to work independently.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to remain calm and courteous in a fast-paced environment.
- Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Transfer and Promotion policy.
- Must be able to obtain required work cards, and non-gaming registration as required by the local jurisdiction.
- Must pass any and all required background checks.
SCHEDULE: This is a flexible, as-needed position. Hours will vary based on business needs and staffing requirements. Candidates must be available to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
