This is a temporary, fully onsite Receptionist/Administrative role in Houston (ASAP start through July 24) supporting a fast-paced financial services office, where you'll serve as the first point of contact and manage front desk, conference logistics, and administrative tasks.

Description

  • Key Responsibilities

    * Serve as the first point of contact, welcoming clients and visitors and ensuring a professional front-of-house experience

    * Manage visitor coordination, including notifying internal teams, maintaining logs, and escorting guests as needed

    * Oversee conference room scheduling and logistics, including bookings, setup, and ensuring spaces are organized and client-ready

    * Coordinate with vendors and catering partners to support meetings and events

    * Act as a liaison with internal teams including security, IT, facilities, and mail services to ensure smooth office operations

    * Provide administrative support to the team, including data entry, document preparation, and general office tasks

    * Assist with travel and expense coordination using SAP Concur

    * Manage mail, packages, and deliveries, including coordinating messenger services

    * Support office operations, including inventory management and maintaining a clean, organized workspace

    * Provide backup support to the broader administrative team as needed in a fast-paced environment

Profile

* Brings 5+ years of administrative, front desk, or client-facing experience, ideally within financial services or a corporate environment

* Has a polished, professional presence with the ability to confidently interact with senior stakeholders and external clients

* Demonstrates strong communication skills-both written and verbal-with a customer-service mindset

* Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities

* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ideally experienced with SAP Concur or similar expense systems

* Displays strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach

* Maintains a consistently positive, professional demeanor and thrives in a team-oriented environment

* Operates with a high level of discretion and professionalism, especially when handling sensitive or confidential information
