Position Summary:

Register patients, collect payments, verify insurance. Provide excellent customer service to all patients. Perform regular medical office functions such as answering phones, filing, etc.

Responsibilities:

The Front Desk Associate provides exceptional patient service, both in person and over the phone. Answer incoming calls to the facility. Relay information in an accurate, timely and concise manner. Greet patients and visitors to the facility in a welcoming and friendly fashion. Notify facility personnel of patient’s arrival if needed. Ability to maintain a calm temperament under stressful conditions and always present a professional manner and attitude. Accurately enters/scans information into the computer system as needed. Conduct an efficient and smooth patient registration process while providing excellent patient experience. Verify insurance information and obtain copies if necessary. Obtain and witness the patient’s or legal guardian’s signatures on legal forms as required. Collect deductibles and all payments and co-payments for services on the day of surgery. File patient charts timely and accurately. Adhere to all processes, policies, and procedures. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Certificate

 

Required Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office/health care setting

• Strong computer knowledge and skills

• Strong desire to assist others and provide excellent customer service

• Must be highly dependable and organized

• Outstanding interpersonal skills

• An impeccably clean, polished, professional image

• The ability to learn quickly, retain training, problem solve and think independently

 

Preferred Skills:

• Understanding of medical terminology
