Valley Hi Nursing Home has an opening for a front desk associate to answers the phones, routes calls, sorts mail, and greets facility staff and guests. The front desk associate also completes light data entry and general office support to the department heads and administrative staff. The front desk associate also assists with other, non-clinical needs within the facility as needed. We are looking for an individual who is reliable, has a great personality, is friendly and energetic to join our team.

Sunday: 2p - 8p
Monday: 4p - 8p
Wednesday: 4p - 8p
Week 2 (18 hours)
Monday: 4p - 8p
Wednesday: 4p - 8p
Thursday: 4p - 8p
Saturday: 8a - 2p
Note: hours above may shift slightly based on team discussions, but this position only works evening and weekend hours
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support.
- Answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals.
- Greet visitors and callers, handle their inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs.
- Set up and maintain paper and electronic filing systems for records, correspondence, and other material.
- Operate office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, phone systems, and use computers for spreadsheet, word processing, database management, and other applications.
- Sets up and maintains alphabetic and numeric files so that documents can be filed and retrieved in an orderly fashion; classifies active, inactive and archived files.
- Schedules and arranges appointments and reservations for meetings, facility usage, or other events.
- Interacts with staff, elected officials and the general public in person or by telephone in order to respond to inquiries, receive complaints, and resolve problems.
- Compose, type, and distribute meeting notes, routine correspondence, reports, memos, charts, and labels.
- Receives, processes and distributes departmental mail.
- Performing data entry using word processing, spreadsheet or database commands and formats material as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED; and,
- One or more years of clerical experience in an office environment.
