Front Desk Attendants ensure a safe and friendly environment while monitoring check-in and facility operations, and enforcing policies in the Beauchamp Recreation & Wellness Center. Front Desk attendants report to Front Desk Student Coordinators and the Fitness & Operations Program Manager, within Recreational Services. Availability of applicants during operational hours is a hiring consideration.

Core Duties
Create a welcoming and friendly environment for patrons and co-workers.
Oversee patron check-in, equipment inventory, class registration, membership and locker sales
Provide information and excellent customer service to patrons, enforce policies and procedures, address issues with facility users
Respond to injuries and emergencies within facility and provide guidance to others as needed
Clean and sanitize equipment and touch points within the facility
Communicate with supervisors and co-workers in a prompt and professional manner
Attend mandatory trainings and staff meetings
Other relevant duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Availability during academic year during hours facility is open.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Confidence to speak with patrons regarding policy and behavior
Comfort using Microsoft Office and other programs
Ability to work well in and contribute to a team environment
Current CPR & AED Certification. This may be obtained within a short time after starting.
Ability to balance multiple tasks and give priority to most important/time-sensitive tasks
Preferred Qualifications
First-year students with excellent character and experience are encouraged to apply
Experience working in active, customer oriented environment, or experience in public service/volunteer positions with successful frequent interpersonal interaction
Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and school breaks.
Federal Work-Study in Financial Aid package
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move weights at least 50 lbs.
