Front Desk/Clinical Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this dual role, you will provide essential support to our medical staff while delivering high-quality patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with clinical tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Support:
  • Assist healthcare provider with patient appointments and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs, medical histories, and ensuring their comfort.
  • Maintain a sterile and efficient clinical environment, including cleaning and restocking examination rooms.
  • Administer injections as directed by medical staff.

• Administrative Tasks:
  • Schedule patient appointments and maintain organized patient records.
  • Answer patient phone calls, texts, and emails. Good grammar and punctuation required.
  • Manage patient intake and discharge processes, including putting in prescriptions, getting patient's their supplements, and taking payment.
  • Assist in retrieving lab results and other reports for healthcare provider.

• Compliance and Safety:
  • Follow all health and safety protocols, including infection control measures.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent. 
• Phlebotomy certification (bonus) 
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent preferred. 
• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and lab tests.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong self starter with close attention to detail and a team player 
• Knowledge and passion for integrative and functional health and wellness

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and assist patients as needed.
• Capability to lift and move medical equipment and supplies.
• Fine motor skills for drawing blood and performing clinical tasks.
