Essential Functions and DutiesMonitor daily status of rooms, rates, discount rates, and packagesMaintain current list of available rooms for walk situationsCoordinate blocking of roomsAct as the Service Champion for the Front Office and create a positive atmosphere for guest relationsEnsure recognition of employees is taking place across areas of responsibilityReview staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are metReview comment cards, guest satisfaction results, and other data to identify areas of improvementSolicit employee feedback, maintain an open-door policy, and review employee satisfaction results to identify and address employee problems or concernsEnsure staff communicates effectively with the Housekeeping teamMaintain a productive relationship with the valet parking providerRegularly review the department budget to meet budgeted wages and general expensesCheck printed registration cards against information on the arrival report and rectify any discrepanciesEnsure prompt and courteous service to guestsPre-register guests according to standardsComplete and monitor employee schedulesMonitor VIP arrivalsKeep track of rooms to ensure accurate status and readiness for check-inHire, coach, and discipline direct reportsInteract positively and professionally with guests to resolve issuesAct as Manager on Duty as requiredWork nights, weekends, and holidays as necessaryPerform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectivesRequired Experience, Education, and SkillsMinimum of one (1) years in a similar leadership role (e.g., Front Desk Supervisor, Assistant Front Office Manager)Minimum of high school education, post-high school education preferredBasic math skillsAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writingStrong leadership skillsAbility to exceed expectations of guests and team membersExcellent time management skillsIn-depth knowledge of hotel Front Desk operationsWork Environment and Physical DemandsProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to access and navigate the production facilityMust be able to lift 15 pounds at a timeMust have a flexible schedule to cover shifts (when associates call out) and be able to work nights, holidays and weekends when needed.Other DutiesThis job description is not intended to be a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the associate in this role.
