Position Overview
A busy physician's office in Franklin Lakes, NJ is seeking a reliable and professional Front Desk Receptionist to provide maternity leave coverage. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a medical office setting, including insurance verification and prior authorizations, and will excel in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Answer multi-line phones, route calls, and take accurate messages
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
- Obtain and process prior authorizations for procedures and services
- Collect co-pays and maintain accurate patient records
- Handle patient check-in and check-out processes
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
- Provide general administrative support to the office and clinical staff
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting required
