Front Desk Medical Assistant - Infectious Disease Clinic

We are seeking an experienced Front Desk Medical Assistant to join a collaborative Infectious Disease team. This role combines patient-facing front desk responsibilities with hands-on clinical support, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care every day.

What You"ll Do

Welcome patients and manage check-in/check-out processes

Room patients and prepare exam rooms for provider visits

Obtain and document vital signs and patient information accurately

Chart clinical information using Epic EMR

Support providers in delivering high-quality patient care

Coordinate patient flow in a busy outpatient clinic

Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms

Collaborate with medical assistants, providers, and clinical staff to ensure an outstanding patient experience

Qualifications

3+ years of Medical Assistant or clinical support experience

Proficiency with Epic Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

Strong experience rooming patients, taking vital signs, and clinical documentation

Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification

Ability to thrive in a high-volume, patient-focused environment

Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills

Preferred Qualifications

Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), CMA, or equivalent certification

Experience in Infectious Disease, Internal Medicine, or other specialty clinics

Strong team-oriented mindset and commitment to quality patient care

Work Environment

• Monday through Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Professional outpatient Infectious Disease clinic

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
