About the Role:
Kendall Eye Institute Inc is looking for a friendly and organized Front Desk Medical Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our practice in Miami, FL. Responsibilities:
  • Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner upon arrival
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using medical scheduling software
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls, responding to patient inquiries promptly
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at time of service
  • Maintain and update accurate patient records and demographics in the EMR system
  • Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and communication between patients and clinical staff
  • Ensure the front desk and waiting area remain organized and presentable at all times
Requirements:
  • 1+ year of experience as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare front office setting
  • Familiarity with medical insurance verification and billing processes
  • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and general office software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred (Miami area)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical office certification a plus
