The community you'll be caring for: AdventHealth Ambulatory service


When you join our team of 13 Outpatient Clinics across Central Florida, you will be part of a winning team of experts dedicated to whole-person care to help our patients heal, strengthen and renew.


As a Front Desk Receptionist in an outpatient setting you will provide professional direct and indirect services to specific age groups in the outpatient imaging settings. Utilizes process improvement in achieving the goals of the Imaging Department. Accept the responsibility to practice autonomously and collaboratively in all practice environments to provide best practice to the patient/client. Autonomous practice is characterized by independent, self-determined, professional judgment and action.


The role you'll contribute:


Responsible for facilitating the flow of information and services to anyone in or calling the hospital in a courteous, professional, and customer service-oriented manner. This position ensures accurate and expeditious communication. In addition, this position actively participates in delivering outstanding customer service. This role provides administrative support to the hospital reception.

+ Answers phone calls using excellent telephone etiquette and responds to requests courteously, professionally, and efficiently.

+ Uses computer skills to assist guests, patients, and the healthcare team with appropriate information.

+ Maintains up-to-date and thorough knowledge of the hospital(s) and ancillary locations, including associated phone numbers.


Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:


+ Ability to understand guests needs and respond to them in a proactive, courteous, professional, and efficient manner, as perceived by the customer [Required]

+ Excellent telephone etiquette and ability to read, write, and speak appropriately in English using good diction, and respond to guests needs [Required]

+ Basic computer, typing, and fax machine knowledge [Required]

+ Ability to recognize, pronounce and find names and telephone/room numbers of patients, personnel, and physicians [Required]

+ Able to multitask and perform various job responsibilities simultaneously in a highly interactive environment, and provide a positive patient experience for patients, their families, and the community [Required]

+ High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
