Job Description:
Our Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and customers, providing both administrative and customer service support in various internal departments.
Responsibilities:
- Greeting and Welcoming Guests: Greet visitors, clients, and customers promptly and professionally, creating a positive first impression
- Directing Visitors: Guide guests to the correct department, employee, or office location
- Phone Handling: Answer, screen, and forward incoming calls; provide basic information or escalate issues to the appropriate person
- Administrative Support: Maintain office tidiness, restock supplies, update calendars, schedule meetings, and manage appointment systems
- Customer Service: Provide accurate information, assist with inquiries, and resolve minor issues; escalate complex matters when needed
- Security and Access Control: Enforce safety procedures, monitor logbooks
- Clerical Tasks: Perform filing, photocopying, faxing, scanning, and other office support duties
- Special Requests: Accommodate guest or customer requests within policy and resource limits
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Education: Typically a high school diploma or GED; some employers prefer an associate’s degree in business, administration, or related fields
- Skills: Strong communication, active listening, interpersonal skills, computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, phone systems, scanners/copiers), and ability to work under pressure
- Experience: Prior customer service or administrative experience is preferred
