FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST FOR PHYSICAL MEDICINE PRACTICE

About the Role:
Mt. Pleasant Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is looking for a friendly and organized Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our practice in Thornwood, NY. Responsibilities:

• Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner upon arrival
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk calendar
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at time of service
• Maintain and update accurate patient records using electronic health record (EHR) software
• Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and communication between patients and clinical staff
• Manage patient intake forms and ensure all required documentation is complete
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a medical front desk, healthcare receptionist, or administrative role preferred
• Familiarity with medical insurance verification and billing processes
• Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and general computer skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Professional, dependable, and a collaborative team player
