Resurgens Fayette Surgery is hiring a Front Desk Receptionist Medical Records , Full Time

Resurgens Fayette SurgeryCenter is a single-specialty ambulatory surgical center that is a joint venture between the Resurgens Orthopedic Group and USPI. We are seeking a Receptionist, medical records, Front & back office Help on a full time basis. The Receptionist, Medical Records, interfaces with patients and families, physicians and staff; Admit patients and process their paperwork; Update patient demographics/information in system; Collect monies due and document in the billing system; Handle funds per office procedure. Answer incoming phone calls.

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Business Office Manager, Front Desk Receptionist/Medical Record reports toOffice Managerand supervisesno staff membersis responsible for covering any aspect of the business office necessary. Maintains the Practice's medical records according to established guidelines and requirements. Reviews records for compliance with approved policies.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of hospital or medical records experience required.
  • Knowledge of The Joint Commission Standards
  • Ability to use time wisely in preparing work area to meet high-paced demand.
  • Show a genuine desire to work and improve the center as a whole.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to adhere to hospital financial and admitting policies.
  • Ability to promote positive relationships with patients and staff.
  • Must know insurance verification and collection processes.
  • Must have problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Must demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills.
