Front Desk Receptionist - Recreation Center

Wage:$11.75/hourPart-time, non-benefitted, non-exemptGENERAL PURPOSEThis position is a year-round and part time. It requires a flexible work schedule that may include various shifts, such as: early mornings, midday, and evening shifts, Monday - Saturday. The ideal candidate would also have the flexibility to be a sub for other shifts. Contact Kate Vest with any questions at 801-785-6172 x419.FUNCTIONS AND DUTIESGreet all patronsProvide general information on recreation activities, programs and facilitiesAnswer incoming phone calls and transferring to proper staff when necessaryTake registrations and payments for recreation programsFill out daily cash reports and balance cash receipts when neededAssist in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the Recreation CenterAttend staff planning, training and development meetingsCommunicate with other staff in order to successfully resolve issues and problems in a timely mannerOther duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation:High School Diploma Skills/Abilities:Skill in communicating effectively, both orally and in writingAbility to lift up to 50 pounds when requiredGood public relations skillsThis position may require use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record. EXPERIENCE REQUIREDExperience working in an office setting in a recreation or community center setting preferred but not necessary.CONDITIONSWorking conditions may varyNo significantly hazardous conditions exist
