Description
Christopher’s Reason a high-volume substance use disorder outpatient program is seeking a dedicated Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be a compassionate, organized, and efficient professional who can create a welcoming environment for our clients, often at challenging times in their lives. This role requires the ability to handle multiple tasks with sensitivity and professionalism in a fast-paced setting. The position is full-time, and the salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Please provide certificates and references along with your resume. Responsibilities:
Welcome and check in clients and visitors, maintaining a warm and respectful environment.
Answer and manage a multi-line phone system, addressing inquiries and directing calls.
Schedule appointments and provide reminders, coordinating with clinical staff as needed.
Assist clients with intake paperwork and initial steps, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
Maintain an organized front desk area, managing files and records efficiently.
Support the program team by managing administrative tasks and ensuring smooth client flow.
Qualifications:
Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
Prior experience in a front desk, receptionist, or administrative role, ideally in healthcare or social services.
Understanding of substance use disorder and mental health services (preferred but not required).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and pay attention to detail.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills.
