A growing government services firm is seeking a Front End Lead Developer to support application development efforts within a secure, mission-driven environment. This role is responsible for leading the design, development, testing, and management of complex application projects supporting critical IT infrastructure.


You will work closely with architects and engineering teams to design and deploy scalable applications, including large-scale data processing solutions, computational modeling, and advanced analytics platforms supporting forensic and investigative systems.


This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both technical depth and the ability to guide development efforts across a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, testing, and management of application development projects
  • Develop and implement solutions supporting large-scale data processing and advanced analytics
  • Integrate third-party components and develop custom capabilities
  • Modify and enhance existing codebases while recommending process improvements
  • Automate operations and maintenance tasks
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance
  • Support Agile development activities, including Program Increments and Agile Release Train events
  • Participate in technical reviews, architecture discussions, and milestone planning
  • Provide resource estimation and contribute to development best practices
  • Support development across multi-enclave environments, including Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery

Minimum Security Clearance:

  • Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of software engineering experience
  • Experience working within SAFe Agile frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing complex software solutions in secure government environments
  • Strong understanding of forensic and investigative system requirements

Required Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks
  • Strong experience with Angular and Angular Material
  • Experience with C# and .NET
  • Experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Redis
  • Experience with Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Splunk, or similar data platforms
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with cloud environments such as AWS GovCloud, SC2S, or C2S
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps practices and tools
  • Experience with performance optimization and scalable system design
  • Strong understanding of security engineering principles

Additional Technical Experience:

  • Experience with frontend frameworks such as React or Svelte
  • Experience with data streaming and integration tools such as Apache NiFi
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
  • Familiarity with GraphQL and microservices architecture
  • Experience working in classified environments

Work Environment and Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required clearances, including polygraph if required
  • May require flexible scheduling to support mission needs
  • Primary work location is Chantilly, VA
