Position Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced Front-End Senior Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality user-facing features for enterprise-grade applications. This role requires strong technical expertise, a focus on intuitive and accessible interfaces, and the ability to collaborate effectively with UX/UI designers, back-end engineers, and other cross-functional teams. The Front-End Senior Engineer will help drive front-end development best practices, contribute to architectural and technical strategy decisions, optimize application performance, and mentor junior engineers. The ideal candidate will have strong Java Swing experience along with knowledge of Spring Boot, JDBC, RESTful APIs, and modern development tools.
Responsibilities of the Front-End Senior Engineer:- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality front-end applications.
- Develop desktop user interfaces using Java Swing.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create responsive and accessible interfaces.
- Optimize applications for performance, speed, and scalability.
- Integrate front-end applications with APIs and back-end services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across browsers and devices.
- Apply software development best practices, testing, and code reviews.
- Contribute to front-end architecture and technical strategy.
- Participate in design discussions and propose innovative solutions.
- Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing.
- Stay current with emerging front-end technologies and industry trends.
- Support Agile development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Experience/Skills for the Front-End Senior Engineer:- Proven experience as a Front-End Senior Engineer or similar senior software engineering role.
- Strong experience developing desktop user interfaces using Java Swing.
- Working knowledge of the Spring Boot framework.
- Working knowledge of JDBC for database interaction.
- Experience or familiarity with the Solace Event Broker.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and system integration practices.
- Experience with Apache Maven for build and dependency management.
- Experience with Git and version control systems.
- Experience using Jira or similar feature and bug tracking tools.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Front-End Senior Engineer:- Experience with React, Angular, Vue.js, or other modern front-end frameworks.
- TypeScript experience and familiarity with state management libraries such as Redux.
- Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Knowledge of web application performance optimization techniques.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Kiro, Amazon Q, or similar technologies.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
- Familiarity with AWS, Docker, or other cloud and containerization technologies.
- Understanding of front-end security principles.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Ability to contribute to technical design discussions and architectural decisions.
Education Requirements:- Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.
- Equivalent professional software engineering experience will be considered.
