Front-End Software Development Engineer I

Overview / Summary

We are seeking a Front-End Software Development Engineer I to develop and maintain the front-end/client-side of applications, primarily web applications and, when applicable, mobile or mobile-responsive applications. This role will focus on designing and implementing user interfaces and user experiences while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver user-friendly and high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their use cases, pain points, and requirements, advocating for user-centric software solutions.

• Solve complex problems by designing, developing, and delivering solutions using various tools, languages, frameworks, and technologies.

• Follow architecture guidelines to maintain a unified and consistent approach to development.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, designers, back-end developers, and architects.

• Create mock-ups and prototypes to visualize new features.

• Participate in user interface design reviews and product demonstrations.

• Perform functional automated testing and UI testing to ensure quality development.

• Continuously improve application performance by fixing bugs and optimizing applications.

• Implement new technologies to improve development efficiency.

• Apply programming practices including cross-browser compatibility testing, SEO principles, and accessibility standards.

• Design, develop, and deliver user-friendly, interactive experiences using enterprise brand standards and templates.

• Develop using technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as advanced frameworks such as React and Angular.

• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in user interface design.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.

• 0–4 years of experience in software development.

• Experience or knowledge in Python.

• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Expert Systems.

• Knowledge of databases.

• Familiarity with front-end development concepts and technologies.

• Experience or knowledge with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and/or Angular.

• Ability to perform functional automated testing and UI testing.

• Familiarity with cross-browser compatibility testing, SEO principles, and accessibility standards.

Work Arrangement

• Hybrid position with 4 days onsite per week.

• Standard morning shift.

• Travel is not required.
