    About the RoleWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Operations Manager. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, driving financial performance, and cultivating a high-performing team.The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of hospitality, a passion for service, and a sharp eye for detail. This role requires someone who can balance operational discipline with an intuitive sense of guest experience—creating an environment that is both highly functional and deeply engaging.Core ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Culture

    • Lead, inspire, and develop a diverse front- and back-of-house team
    • Foster a culture rooted in hospitality, accountability, and continuous improvement
    • Act as a visible and engaged presence on the floor, setting the tone for service

    Operations

    • Oversee all daily restaurant operations, ensuring consistency and excellence across service, food, and beverage
    • Maintain and elevate service standards in alignment with the MethodCo brand
    • Partner closely with culinary leadership to ensure seamless FOH/BOH collaboration

    Financial Performance

    • Own and manage P&L, budgeting, and forecasting
    • Drive revenue through thoughtful programming, guest experience, and operational efficiency
    • Monitor labor, cost of goods, and other key metrics to ensure profitability

    Guest Experience

    • Champion an exceptional and personalized guest experience
    • Handle guest feedback with professionalism and urgency
    • Build relationships with regulars, VIPs, and the broader Detroit community

    People & Development

    • Recruit, train, and retain top talent
    • Provide ongoing coaching and performance management
    • Create clear growth paths and development opportunities for team members

    Brand & Collaboration

    • Partner with marketing and events teams to support programming and activations
    • Uphold the design and experiential integrity of the space
    • Collaborate with hotel leadership at Book Tower to ensure alignment across the property

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in high-volume, upscale or fine dining restaurants
    • Proven ability to lead teams and drive strong financial performance
    • Deep understanding of food, beverage, and service standards
    • Strong operational acumen with experience managing P&Ls
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills
    • Passion for hospitality, design, and creating memorable guest experiences
    • Experience in a hotel or mixed-use environment is a plus

    Working Conditions/Environment:

    • The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day.
    • Agility in executing fast-paced movements to navigate different areas of the property efficiently.
    • The person having this responsibility may have to move, pull, carry, or lift objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
