Job Summary

The Front of House Manager, reporting directly to the General Manager, is responsible for overseeing the daily front-of-house dining operations within a luxury Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). This role focuses on delivering an exceptional resident dining experience through strong hospitality leadership, service excellence, team development, and operational execution across multiple dining venues.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day front-of-house operations across three Independent Living dining venues, including the Main Dining Room, Marketplace, and Pub.
• Recruit, train, coach, schedule, and develop front-of-house associates while fostering a culture of hospitality and accountability.
• Ensure exceptional resident satisfaction by maintaining high service standards and promptly addressing service recovery opportunities.
• Coordinate staffing, floor execution, and daily service across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events.
• Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing catering functions and special community events.
• Partner closely with the Executive Chef, General Manager, and culinary team to ensure seamless service execution.
• Monitor labor, scheduling, supplies, and operational efficiencies while supporting department financial goals.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and community leadership through visible and engaged floor presence.
• Support ongoing training initiatives to reinforce hospitality standards and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior leadership experience as a Front of House Manager, Dining Room Manager, Restaurant Manager, Hospitality Manager, or similar role.
• Experience in senior living, country club, hotel, resort, upscale restaurant, or other hospitality-focused environments preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop service teams.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience managing schedules, labor, and daily dining operations.
• Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest and resident experiences.
• Comfortable working a hands-on leadership role with a visible floor presence.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and restaurant POS systems.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
