Our Shift Leaders are responsible for supporting senior leadership in executing daily operations and keeping team members accountable for each component of Operational Excellence and Winning Hearts Every Day. A Team Leader’s main areas of focus are leading the completion tasks so that the restaurant runs effectively, planning and organizing a shift, and coaching/developing team members. Team Leaders lead by example and set the tone that others will follow.

Team Leader Responsibilities:

• Lead Front of House team by overseeing opening or closing operations for a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant
• Lead by example, demonstrating excellent customer service and professionalism
• Create shift set up for each shift and manage team member breaks
• Lead team to complete all checklists for each day part
• Assign team members to complete routine cleaning tasks
• Participate in monthly shift leader meeting and 1:1 meetings
• Assist with team member and customer needs
• Be able to coach and encourage team members
• Help communicate team goals and focuses for the shift
• Open and/or close, lead shifts, key holder
• Count drawers and finalize day
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
• Ensure Compliance specific to Minor Labor Laws and Employee breaks

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Available to work weekends (Friday/Saturday)
• Available to lead opening or closing shifts
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities at once
• Strong people skills with a desire to serve Team Members
• Strong commitment to superior customer service
• Ability to manage Team Member behavioral and performance issues
• Ability to work in a team environment with shared ownership and responsibility
• Detail oriented
• Prior experience in team leadership or restaurant management is not required but is preferred.
