Position Summary
The Front-of-House (FOH) Team Leader is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the front counter and guest service areas. This individual leads by example, ensuring that every guest experience reflects Chick-fil-A's commitment to hospitality. As a leader of the face of Chick-fil-A, the FOH Team Leader is accountable for running efficient shifts, maintaining operational excellence, and developing FOH Team Members to consistently utilize the CORE 4 and passionately go the second mile. They are instrumental in creating a positive work environment and ensuring our guests receive remarkable service with every visit.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Shift Management:
Oversee and manage all FOH operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
Lead, motivate, and coach FOH Team Members, providing guidance and support to maintain high performance standards.
Delegate tasks effectively and ensure accountability for completion of daily checklists and operational procedures.
Run team member breaks efficiently, ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained.
Act as the primary point of contact for FOH team members during shifts, addressing questions and resolving issues.
Ensure proper FOH station setups are completed before and during shifts to optimize flow and service.
Guest Experience & Hospitality
Champion Chick-fil-A's service model, ensuring all FOH Team Members consistently apply the CORE 4 and deliver 2nd Mile Service.
Proactively engage with guests, resolve complex guest concerns, and handle difficult situations with professionalism and grace.
Monitor guest satisfaction and service speed, implementing real-time adjustments as needed.
Maintain an immaculate and welcoming front counter, service area, and condiment/beverage stations.
Operational Excellence & Financial Stewardship
Execute opening and closing procedures for the FOH area, including cash handling, safe reconciliation, and preparing for the next shift.
Manage the change fund accurately and
perform cash drops and deposits as required.
Ensure all FOH equipment is operating correctly and report any maintenance needs.
Maintain strict adherence to all health, safety, and food safety regulations within the FOH.
Monitor inventory levels for FOH supplies and communicate needs to management.
Team Development & Training:
Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to FOH Team Members, including Certified Team Members.
Assist in the training and development of new FOH Team Members, ensuring they are proficient in all FOH positions.
Foster a positive team culture through encouragement, recognition, and effective communication.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Certified FOH Team Member or equivalent leadership experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of Chick-fil-A operational standards, procedures, and hospitality principles.
Ability to manage cash and financial transactions accurately and responsibly.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must be willing to perform FOH and BOH duties.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to bend, stoop, and lift.
Ability to work in varying temperatures.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Comfortable working with hot oil and other kitchen hazards with proper safety precautions.
Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
