Job Description

The Team Leader consistently provides remarkable experiences for each guest that visits Chick-fil-A Jefferson Commons and Chick-fil-A Preston Highway. This position focuses on the daily operation of the restaurant through effective leadership of our team through staff positioning, hospitality, and cleanliness. This position works closely with the MOD to ensure operational goals are met and that our team members are equipped and led to be successful. The main responsibility of this position is to take ownership in leading and executing the shift when scheduled under the guidance of the Shift Manager.

This position can be a Part-Time or Full-Time position - located in Louisville, KY with the understanding that you will be training in the operational side of the business.

Along with a competitive paycheck, you will work in a nurturing environment where you will continue to develop valuable business and people skills. You will be part of a high performance leadership team where you will be encouraged and coached as a valued member of a supportive team.

Responsibilities Include:

Team Leadership

  • Responsible for leading the shift when scheduled. This involves creating a high-energy atmosphere for our team and modeling a sense of urgency without making our guests feel rushed. Leading means facilitating team work, always being aware of the overall environment, making adjustments where needed, and leading by example in setting the standard for doing things the Chick-fil-A way.
  • Provide coaching to team members as needed in regard to competency, character, and chemistry and follow through with documentation of these conversations
  • Monitor product quality to ensure that guests receive the best product through each and every transaction
  • Model and educate the team on hospitality measures such as Core 4 and 2nd Mile
  • Check in on guests throughout the shift to learn about their Chick-fil-A experience

Ownership of Metrics

  • On a seasonal basis, each Team Leader is responsible for owning one or more key metrics that drive the success of our business. In partnership with your supervisor, you will ensure we are working to achieve the goals connected to each metric.
  • The purpose of this is to give you the opportunity to own an important part of our business. Through this process you’ll learn how to evaluate the current state of a specific metric, strategize how to make it better, and then to implement a plan.
  • Consistent evaluation of progress toward each goal will take place in “speed checks” with your direct supervisor.

Shift Responsibilities

  • Available to Open or Close 2 days a week
  • Have all Drive-thru and Front counter drawers ready for the upcoming shift
