    Description

    Who We Are

PDFO is a kid-first pediatric dental & orthodontic practice where the front office isn't just an administrative function - it's the heartbeat of the patient experience. Every family that walks through our doors has their first and last interaction with our Front Office team. That matters, and we treat it that way.

We're a modern, well-equipped practice built on genuine teamwork, high standards, and a real commitment to making dentistry feel less intimidating for kids and their families. If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, genuinely enjoys people, and takes pride in keeping things organized and running smoothly - you're exactly who we're looking for.

Why You'll Want to Work Here

    Compensation

    • Starting pay of $20+/hr, commensurate with your experience and skills
    • Pay is reviewed regularly - we reward reliability, accuracy, and people who bring real value to the team

    Benefits Package

    • Medical insurance with employer contributions toward your annual premium
    • Dental assistance
    • 401(k) with profit sharing - because your future matters, not just your Friday

Paid Time Off (Because Burnout Isn't a Badge of Honor)

    • 6 paid holidays per year
    • Up to 40 hours of paid sick leave per year, in compliance with the New York State Paid Sick Leave Law
    • Up to 80 hours of paid vacation in your first year

The Role - What You'll Actually Do

As a Front Office Coordinator, you're the first voice patients hear and the first face they see. You set the tone. In a pediatric dental practice, that's everything - a nervous kid or a stressed parent can have their whole experience turned around by a warm, confident front desk interaction. Day-to-day, you'll be:

    • Being the face of the practice - welcoming patients and families with genuine warmth and making sure every visit starts on the right note
    • Owning the schedule: booking and confirming appointments, ensuring all paperwork is complete, and keeping insurance verifications and authorizations current so the clinical team can focus on care
    • Managing communications: handling phone calls from patients, parents, providers, and insurance companies with professionalism, patience, and clarity
    • Handling payments and receipts: collecting and posting payments accurately, recording transactions, and maintaining a clean financial record
    • Being a true team player: jumping in to support colleagues when the pace picks up, because in a practice this size, everyone's success is shared
