Job Objective
Responsible for all Front Desk operations by training, directing, coaching and supervising Front Desk Associates to ensure the best possible guest satisfaction, Associate morale, brand and company standards, training, and profitability.
Essential Duties
1) Provide the highest quality of service to the guests at all times.
2) Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Front Desk staff.
3) Promote teamwork and Associate morale.
4) Interpret company policies and provide a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with safety programs and training.
5) Monitor & enforce Front Desk uniform brand & company standards.
6) Responsible for the interviewing and hiring for Front Desk Associates.
7) Orient & train all new Front Desk Associates.
8) Conduct ongoing training of all Front Desk Associates to increase job knowledge and skill level.
9) Initiate plans to motivate Associates to achieve work related goals.
10) Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures.
11) In charge of counseling, discipline and all payroll related items for front desk employees.
12) Ensure the hotel is balanced daily and that discrepancies are communicated with the appropriate hotel management.
13) Complete all end of period tasks, including an audit of cash over and short to include inventories.
14) Respond to any guest complaint in a timely, professional and hospitable manner.
15) Able to cover shifts when needed.
16) All other duties, projects, and tasks that are assigned by AGM or GM.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additionally, the requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skills and or ability required.
1) Must have prior Front Desk Experience.
2) Minimum of a High School Diploma and some college preferred.
3) Must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes evenings, weekends and holidays. Open availability is required. Expect to work weekends and some holidays.
4) Must have a good command of the English language and be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
5) Must have solid computer skills to include core Microsoft applications and any additional brand specific applications as needed.
6) Must have sold math skills.
7) Ability to lead, train, and motivate team members.
8) Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
9) Must possess solid relationship-building skills, people focused, highly organized and guest centric.
10) Prolonged periods of standing.
11) Must have reliable transportation.
