FRONT OFFICE POSITION
General Purpose
Attends to visitors and addresses inquiries on the phone and face to face. Provides information regarding the organization to the general public, clients and customers.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Check In, to include verifiying patient demographics, collecting copays, deductibles, co insurance
- Mail new patient packets
- Confirm appointments
- Assist with new patient referrals
- Schedule appointments
- Request medical records, as applicable
- Verify insurance for add-ons
- Scan in daily collections sheets
- Travel to other locations as needed
- MA duties as applicable
Requirements
- Medical Assistant diploma
- knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
- knowledge of computers and relevant software applications
- knowledge of customer service principles and practices
- keyboard skills
- Min 2 years insurance verification experience
- Min 2 years front office/back office experience in a medical practice
- Valid Texas drivers license in good standing, covered driver on vehicle insurance
