Be the First Impression of Our Practice


Veritas Spine & Joint is looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Office Specialist to join our growing Interventional Pain Management practice.


This position is much more than answering phones. You are the first face our patients see and play a critical role in creating an exceptional patient experience from the moment they walk through our doors.


We're looking for someone who enjoys helping people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and is willing to jump in wherever needed. This is a front desk position with floating responsibilities to support both administrative and clinical operations.


Responsibilities


Front Desk


  • Welcome every patient with professionalism and compassion

  • Check patients in and out efficiently

  • Verify demographics and insurance information

  • Collect copays, balances, and required paperwork

  • Schedule and reschedule appointments

  • Answer multi-line phone system

  • Return voicemails promptly

  • Respond to patient questions professionally

  • Manage incoming faxes and electronic documents

  • Maintain an organized and welcoming reception area

Administrative Support


  • Scan and upload documents into Epic

  • Process referrals and medical records

  • Assist with disability, FMLA, and other patient paperwork

  • Coordinate patient reminders and follow-up calls

  • Assist providers and leadership with administrative projects

  • Maintain office supplies and assist with inventory

Float Responsibilities


  • Assist Medical Assistants during busy clinic times

  • Escort patients when needed

  • Help prepare exam rooms

  • Deliver paperwork between departments

  • Support patient flow throughout the clinic

  • Cross-train in multiple office functions

  • Step in wherever needed to keep the office running smoothly

Qualifications


Required


  • High school diploma or GED

  • Minimum 1 year of medical office experience preferred

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Computer proficiency

  • Ability to multitask

  • Professional appearance and demeanor

Preferred


  • Epic EMR experience

  • Insurance verification experience

  • Pain management or specialty practice experience

  • Medical receptionist experience
