Frontend Engineering Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Frontend Engineering Manager to lead our frontend development team and drive the design, development, and delivery of high-quality web applications. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with proven leadership skills to mentor engineers, improve development processes, and collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of frontend engineers through coaching, performance management, and career development.

• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.

• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and development planning sessions.

• Support hiring efforts, including interviewing, onboarding, and retaining top engineering talent.

Technical Leadership

• Define and enforce frontend architecture, coding standards, and best practices.

• Guide the development of scalable, maintainable, and high-performance web applications.

• Review code, provide technical feedback, and ensure software quality.

• Drive adoption of modern frontend technologies and development methodologies.

Project & Delivery Management

• Partner with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and Backend Engineers to define requirements and deliver features on schedule.

• Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and sprint execution.

• Identify and mitigate technical risks and delivery bottlenecks.

• Ensure timely and successful delivery of frontend initiatives.

Collaboration & Process Improvement

• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.

• Improve engineering processes, CI/CD pipelines, testing practices, and deployment workflows.

• Monitor application performance and implement optimization strategies.

• Drive Agile development practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or management role.

• Strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.

• Experience building scalable and responsive web applications.

• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, state management, performance optimization, and web accessibility.

• Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and integration with backend services.

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud-based deployment environments.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing distributed or remote engineering teams.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Experience with micro-frontend architecture.

• Understanding of DevOps practices and modern software delivery methodologies.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
