SUMMARY

  • The Facility Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the general upkeep, safety, and functionality of the manufacturing facility and its support systems. This role coordinates facility-related services, manages contractors and service providers, ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Facility Coordinator works closely with the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Planner/Scheduler, and other departments to support a safe, efficient, and well-maintained workplace.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively support all Employee Health and Safety (EH&S) procedures and policies.
  • Coordinate facility maintenance and repairs, including HVAC, lighting, air compressors plumbing, cranes, water treatment, chillers, camera systems, fire emergency systems and other building infrastructure.
  • Schedule and oversee work performed by external contractors and service providers.
  • Manage facility inspections, compliance checks, and regulatory documentation.
  • Support planning and execution of facility upgrades, renovations, and shutdowns.
  • Maintain records of facility assets, warranties, and service agreements.
  • Respond to facility-related emergencies and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Communicate facility status, issues, and improvement opportunities to the Maintenance Manager and team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred: Three (3) years of experience in facility coordination or management in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience with CMMS platform (eMaint preferred).
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of building systems and facility operations.

  • Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift)
  • Climb stairs and ladders
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach
  • Work in confined spaces when required
  • Operate heavy equipment and power tools
