Job Summary:

HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is seeking full-time Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our team at our new Apollo Beach Free Standing Emergency Room. Our new location opened July 2025 in Apollo Beach, Florida.

Qualified Candidates:
  • Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine
  • Family Medicine and Internal Medicine with 2 years of Emergency Medicine experience
  • ABPS BCEM and Fellows Considered based on experience

Services and amenities our state-of-the-art freestanding emergency room (ER) include:

  • Private patient triage area
  • Comfortable treatment rooms
  • A dedicated pediatric treatment room
  • Fast-track rooms for patients with less urgent illnesses and injuries
  • Advanced patient monitoring equipment
  • Patients needing to be admitted to an inpatient bed will be transported to the main campus with seamless care handoff to our excellent intensivists, hospitalists, and specialists.

HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is a 138-bed, acute care hospital serving Sun City Center, Ruskin, Wimauma, Riverview, Apollo Beach, Gibsonton and the surrounding areas. The facility employees 185 physicians and 550 employees.
The hospital is located just off of I-75, which provides easy access to Tampa, the airport and a wide range of sporting and cultural events.
The hospital just completed a major expansion which includes a three-story patient tower, beautiful private rooms and state of the art ICUs.
