FSUS Long-Term Classroom Substitute (Full-time, OPS)

Responsibilities

Temporary, full-time Substitute Teacher needed for beginning of academic year. End of full-time service to be determined based on staffing levels. Anticipated to last the first 9 weeks of fall semester, which begins late July for teachers and August 10th for students. Pay rate during full-time service dependent on education or existing teacher credentials. Eligible to remain as on-call substitute as standard pay rate after full-time service is completed.

• Substitutes for teachers grades K-5
• Works with teachers in the classroom to help students.
• Supervises the classroom in teachers absence.
• Completes paperwork under the teachers direction.
• May include other student supervisory duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to provide three professional references.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors degree with experience working in a school setting.
• Florida Teaching Certificate.
