Applicant must be able to work collegially in a team environment and be available to teach during various hours of the day or evening, and work at alternate CCC sites. Position Summary
Coconino Community College EMS instructors are dynamic partners for students, employers, and communities to learn, train, and succeed in an associate degree, technical diploma, basic education, continuing education, and/or contract training program. An instructor works with students beyond the classroom to ensure their success, models CCC core abilities, and demonstrates commitment to excellence in program/course/training content and delivery. An instructor is able to work effectively in a collaborative environment; is willing to innovate and change to meet evolving program and industry needs; and demonstrates competency with use of technology that supports learning and teaching. An instructor maintains a flexible schedule, including availability for evening, weekend, online, or summer assignments, as appropriate.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to teach assigned courses effectively. Knowledge of the subject area as defined by the National Highway and Safety Administration through the published National Emergency Services Education Standards. Knowledge of computer and related technology (including Canvas Learning Management System). Ability to teach using online learning management systems. Ability to maintain professional ethics and confidentiality of students and staff. Ability to support and promote the mission, values, purposes, and strategic plan of the College. Ability to work in a culturally diverse and team environment. Ability to integrate subject area with other related curricula. Capacity to be flexible. Knowledge of the applicable state and federal laws, such as Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Enthusiasm for teaching and learning, and willingness to share excitement with CCC community. Commitment to student success. Evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students and the need for equity-minded practice within the classroom.

Do you have an associates degree from an accredited college or university with six years of occupation experience in EMS personnel.

Do you have a current certification with Arizona Department of Health Services at the EMT level or higher, a current license/certificate as an IFSTA Emergency Services Instructor I or NAEMSE Level 1 (or higher) and a current Basic Life Support Instructor certification with the American Heart Association. Please explain.
